Drawdown operations resume on Parks Creek

The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority resumed operations at Parks Creek on the weekend.

Officials say stop logs were reinstalled, and drawdown operations resumed to manage water levels and reduce flood risk to the surrounding area.

A flood warning for the Lake Nipissing Shoreline, the La Vase River downstream of Lakeshore Drive, and Parks Creek was extended last week. It remains in effect until Tuesday, May 26.

The conservation authority says it continues to monitor conditions closely and will provide updates as the situation changes.

With Parks Creek operations resuming, the Eva Wardlaw Conservation Area is closed to the public.
