Community invited to Near North Makerspace anniversary event

The Near North Makerspace is celebrating its first anniversary, and you’re invited.

An event takes place on Friday, Oct. 16, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., at 108 Main Street East.

Officials say there will be hands-on creativity, demonstrations, music, food, and refreshments.

“Guests can explore the space, see its equipment in action and try making something of their own,” states a release. “Guests can create personalized items and see firsthand how ideas can go from concept to finished product.”

Interactive stations will feature their laser cutter, 3D printer, dye sublimation equipment and embroidery machine, along with a demonstration in the music room.
