An Edmonton truck driver is facing a dozen charges after a traffic stop east of Mattawa on Sunday morning.
The North Bay OPP stopped the commercial vehicle after it was travelling 115 km/h in a post 90 km/h zone on Highway 17.
Provincial police say officers determined multiple hours-of-service and record-keeping requirements were contravened, with paper records indicating the trip from Kenora to North Bay had been completed in 12 hours.
Charges against the 44-year-old include driving without a speed limiting system, speeding, exceeding 13 hours driving time in a day, and more.
The carrier faces three charges, including permitting operation of a commercial motor vehicle without a working speed-limiting system.
The truck was placed out of service for 72 hours.
