Collecting winter coats and more for those in need

Winter is coming and a couple of donation drives are underway, collecting winter coats, gloves, mittens, toques and more.

The North Bay and Realtors Association’s tenth annual campaign is supporting OUTLoud North Bay.

Donations are being accepted through Friday at several realtors in North Bay and Sturgeon Falls.

Meantime, four organizations are involved in another drive, collecting donations to ensure children and families have a winter coat.

Drop-off day is Saturday, from 10 am to 1 pm at Rebuilt Resources.

Coat distribution will take place at St. Andrews United Church on Nov. 5 and 6.

Along with Rebuilt and the church’s Loaves and Fishes Community Food Bank, Low Income People Involvement (L.I.P.I.) of Nipissing and the AIDS Committee of North Bay and area are involved in the drive.
