Marina rehabilitation work getting underway

Temporary access restrictions will begin this week at the North Bay Marina.

The City of North Bay says it’s due to rehabilitation work on the service dock.

The project involves replacing aging steel sheet piles along the shoreline of the service dock.

Construction is expected to continue until the end of March.

“During this period, the marina boat launch ramp and associated parking area will be closed to public use,” states a release. “The main marina parking lot will remain open to accommodate winter recreational activities.”

Residents are asked to respect construction signage and avoid restricted areas for their safety.
