The North Bay Indian Friendship Centre has received 460-thousand dollars in grants to support the Urban Aboriginal Strategy. The money was given on behalf of the Ontario Trillium Foundation, and Ontario Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs. The Social Action project is designed to bring together Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal community members to strengthen the social and economic participation of North Bay’s Aboriginal people.
