Municipal outdoor rinks and tobogganing hills now open

The City of North Bay has reopened all municipal outdoor rinks and tobogganing hills.

Following the recent announcement by the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit lifting the district-wide closures, residents will be required to follow the COVID-19 safety measures.

The City has shared those measures, which include;

  • Capacity on rinks and hills is limited to 25 people at time.
  • Skating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Face coverings are mandatory at all times, on and off rinks and hills.
  • Skaters and sliders must maintain a physical distance of 2 metres (6 ft) both on and off rinks and hills and should only have close contact with people in their household or essential supports.
  • If capacity has been reached, skaters and sliders are asked to come back at another time.
  • Change rooms and washrooms are not available.
  • Stay home if you are ill and getting tested if you have symptoms of COVID-19.

The City says it is continuing to work closely with the health unit and will continue to share updates to keep residents informed updates
