(UPDATE) Health Unit reports one new case of COVID-19 Monday afternoon

(This story has been updated from earlier today as one new case of COVID-19 was reported Monday afternoon)

The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit is reporting one new case of COVID-19 in Nipissing. 

This after eight new weekend cases were reported Monday morning.   

With one more resolved case the number of active cases is at 28, all in Nipissing.

Two people are in hospital — down from three on Friday.  

Just over 70 percent of adults in the district have had at least one shot of COVID-19 vaccine.  

Nearly 14 percent of adults are fully vaccinated. 

The Health Unit reported an outbreak at the North Bay Jail on Sunday.
