NFN’s ceremonial headdress stolen, chief asking for it to be returned anonymously

The Chief of the Nipissing First Nation is pleading for the return of his ceremonial headdress.

The headdress was in Chief Scott McLeod’s Jeep when it was stolen in Mississauga on Saturday.

He was in the city to act as host of the Little Native Hockey League tournament.

McLeod says the headdress, which has a deeply-significant meaning to his people, can be returned anonymously.
