Another $317,000 is flowing into the city coffers from Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
OLG says the money is the first quarter (April 1 – June 30) payment for hosting Cascades Casino North Bay.
Since the gaming site opened in March 2022, North Bay has received over $1.9 million.
The city says a policy for the casino revenues has not yet been formalized and is being developed as part of the long-term financial policy review now underway.
A policy is expected to be in place ahead of 2024 budget deliberations.
OLG says payments to host communities are based on a formula consistently applied across all gaming sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted site.
