Information session on supporting those experiencing homelessness

The Compassionate Committee for the Homeless in North Bay and Trinity United Church are helping people learn what they need to know to support people who are experiencing homelessness.

An information session takes place tonight (Nov. 2) at the church, with frontline organizations and people with lived experience there, too.

The doors open at 6:30 p.m.

“You will learn from frontline organizations how they support people experiencing homelessness in North Bay, what they observe, the realities of being unhoused, and an opportunity to ask questions,” states a release.

Those attending are also encouraged to donate new hats, mitts, warm socks, scarves, or monetary donations for the purchase of boots and shoes in support of the Winter Boot Campaign.

Donations are also being accepted on Saturday, Nov. 7 (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption garages.
