The North Bay OPP says at about 1:15 pm last Wednesday, officers responded to reports of a vehicle lodged beneath a rail bridge on Derland Road.
When police arrived, they say officers found the commercial vehicle stuck beneath the bridge, with debris scattered across the roadway.
Derland Road was closed while emergency responders and partner agencies worked to assess the scene and safely remove the vehicle.
A 57-year-old resident of Whitby was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with disobey sign.
