The North Bay Lynx U13 Girls team went undefeated to win gold in the U14 division of the “17e édition de la Coupe de l’Outaouais” soccer tournament in Gatineau, Quebec over the weekend. The team tied their opening match 0-0, won their second game 6-0, and advanced to the final with a 3-0 win in the semifinals. In the final, the game ended in a 2-2 draw with the Lynx coming out on top in penalty kicks thanks to goals by Tess Matthews and Prezzley Hutchison and a stellar performance by goalie Hannah Renaud.
The Lynx are led by Head Coach Tom Brotherston, Assistant Coach Daniel Goulet and Manager Jen L’Ami.
