Greg Saunders has been appointed Interim Fire Chief by the City of North Bay.
Saunders will assume interim duty on Saturday, and is currently serving as Deputy Fire Chief Operations.
He was appointed Deputy Fire Chief Operations in 2015, and has been with the North Bay Fire and Emergency Services Department since 1997.
In addition, Mike Bechard, currently the Deputy Fire Chief Fire Prevention, will take on the role of Acting Community Emergency Management Coordinator.
