Ontario investing $5.4 million in North Bay infrastructure

The government of Ontario is investing $5.4 million in formula based funding over the next three years in North Bay infrastructure, through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund.

The money will go towards upgrading and expanding infrastructure currently in North Bay, as well as future projects.

Sudbury MPP Glenn Thibeault made the announcement today in North Bay, and says the money can be used for whatever projects the city thinks are important. Including roads, bridges, water, and waste water.

Thibeault also added the money can be banked over time so the city would have the choice to invest in large infrastructure projects in they so choose. This investment is part of a larger $58 million investment that will help upgrade 116 communities infrastructure throughout Northeastern Ontario.
