North Bay Police stopped two people this morning who were seen drinking alcohol on the street.
As a result of the investigation, police arrested a young person and charged him with five different offences. One count of obstructing a police officer, one count of possession of property attained by crime under $5,000, two counts of breach of probation and one count of breach of recognizance.
When stopped by police for underage drinking, he identified himself with a fake name. Following a search, police found the young person had numerous items consistent with thefts from motor vehicles in his possession. He was held in custody awaiting a bail hearing. The other person stopped by police was issued a ticket for underage drinking as well.
