The North Bay Police Service says officers, paramedics and fire fighters responded to a sudden death on the 1800 block of Algonquin Avenue at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 5.

Police say the deceased has been identified, and the investigation has been turned over to the Office of the Chief Coroner, which will determine the cause and manner of death.

“Investigators have determined there is no evidence to suggest this incident poses an ongoing risk to public safety,” states a release. “As this is now a coroner’s investigation, no further information will be released at this time.”

Police add the identity of the deceased and any additional information will not be released to protect the privacy of the deceased and their family.
