North Bay Police say the search of a residence on the 100 block of Fifth Avenue West has led to the recovery of stolen property from a vehicle, and other items suspected to be stolen too.
Two people were arrested on outstanding warrants.
A 34-year-old man and 33-year-old woman face three charges each including possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Police say the investigation began with a report of a theft from a vehicle and led to officers identifying the location of the stolen property, and a search on Monday.
“This investigation is a perfect example of how we can work together with our community to address property crime,” says Insp. Jeff Warner. “The initiative taken in this investigation led to the recovery of stolen property, the discovery of additional items suspected to be stolen and the execution of outstanding warrants for individuals with a history of repeat offending. We are committed to bringing those responsible to justice.”
The two accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
