The North Bay Community Blood Donor clinic that is taking place Tuesday and Wednesday at the Best Western on Lakeshore Drive is searching for blood donors. Says Joanne Drake of the Canadian Blood Services, “The need for blood is constant and we still have 95 openings that we must fill to help meet patient needs.”
One-in-two Canadians will need blood at some point in their life, yet less than 4 per cent of the population donates.
