Overnight parking ban nearing end

Yes, we are getting there, but spring has not sprung and you still cannot park your car on the streets of North Bay overnight.

Not without risking getting a ticket, anyway.

The City of North Bay is reminding that overnight parking prohibitions continue until April 15th.

The City’s by-law officer, Ron Melnyk confirmed while speaking in favour of extending the prohibition from April 1st to 15th before City Council, that in early April or once the snow has melted, cars would not be ticketed overnight until another snowfall or storm.

Parking is prohibited from November 1st to April 15th:

  • In the DIA 3:00am-6:30am
  • In blocks containing cul-de-sacs or dead-end roads 3:00am-8:30am
  • On all other streets 3:00am-7:30am
  • When snow removal signs are posted
  • And during, or 24 hours following, a snowfall
