The Health Unit says they will be releasing a statement on Dunaj the Downtown Doberman this morning. Dunaj is accused of biting a man in October, and has now been sentenced to death by the Health Unit. Since the accusations came forward, the community has banned together to try and prove the dogs’ innocence. Several witnesses say that Dunaj did not bite anyone and it was actually a case of a drunk man kicking the dog in the face. A Facebook group to save Dunaj now has over 3-thousand supporters. Meanwhile, BayToday is reporting that lawyers may have struck up a deal to send Dunaj home under house arrest for Christmas.
