North Bay Police Service has confirmed some grim news as a collision involving a motor vehicle and a person has resulted in the death of that pedestrian.
Staff Sergeant Larry Asselin writes in a release “the victim in this motor vehicle/pedestrian collision sustained significant life-threatening injuries. The victim has since died from injuries sustained in the collision. The investigation is continuing.”
The collision happened around 6:00am today in the 200 block of Mountainview Drive and paramedics rushed the victim to North Bay Regional Health Centre. Mountainview had been blocked off to traffic until the lunch hour as technical collision experts collected evidence and investigators examined the scene of the fatal incident.
