École secondaire catholique Algonquin will be hosting the 45th annual Barons Cross-Country Running Race this Wednesday at the Steve Omischl Sports Complex on Lakeshore Drive in North Bay.
Over 1,000 participants will compete in 16 categories. Races begin at 10:10am with a new category, the Grade 3 and 4 boys and girls races, and will culminate with the Senior Girls, Senior Boys and Open races at 1:40pm
“We’re excited to expand our competition to include the grade 3’s this year and to provide a new and challenging course by using the Steve Omischl Complex,” said Barons teacher/coach Monique Dubytz. “There is no other Invitational Cross-Country event like this in the province.”
