Three family doctors are coming to North Bay, and they could be bringing more with them. That’s according to Mayor Al McDonald, who says the physicians are trying to bring 7 more doctors to North Bay to open up a joint practice.
The city’s three year goal is even steeper. They hope to bring 20 doctors to North Bay over the next three years, to help bring down the over 12-thousand patients who are without family physicians. McDonald says they are using several strategies to attract doctors including offering money incentives and helping spouses find jobs in North Bay.
