That’s how much the community raised for Special Olympics through the North Bay Police Service Polar Plunge on Saturday.
Normally taking place on Lake Nipissing, the event took place at Canadore College and Nipissing University this year with over 170 plungers participating.
Officials say all funds raised support programming and events for the athletes.
