McKeown Ave reconstruction resumes

The end is in sight for road work on McKeown Avenue.

Crews return to work on the project Monday (April 27).

The city says the project is entering its final stages and is expected to be fully completed over the next two months.

Remaining work includes installing traffic signals at McNamara, repairing a section of trunk sanitary sewer, completing the One Kids Place entrance, replacement of the existing sidewalk, completing the multi-use path, and final lift of asphalt.

Traffic impacts will include:

· A minimum of one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times. Adjustments to traffic control measures are expected daily given the nature of the work.

· Access to all businesses and residences will be maintained at all times, though access points may shift as work progresses.

This work is part of infrastructure upgrades completed over the past two years, including watermain and sewer installation, intersection improvements, road widening to four lanes, and more.
