A 30-year-old city man has been charged with break and enter after an incident at home on the 400-block of Nipissing Street last Friday night.
The North Bay Police Service says a person entered the residence while two people, who are not known to the accused, were inside.
They say officers arrived and arrested a person.
“This was a deeply unsettling incident, and I want to commend the quick actions of everyone involved,” says A/Deputy Chief Warner. “The prompt response of those who reported the incident, combined with the quick actions of responding officers, was instrumental in ensuring the safety of those inside the residence and preventing further harm.”
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
