Two people charged with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking in North Bay

A city police investigation has led to several possession for the purpose of trafficking charges for a 28-year-old city woman and a 26-year-old man from Milton.

The North Bay Police Service says one person was arrested last Thursday on Ferguson Street, followed by a search of a McNamara residence, where the second person was taken into custody.

Police say officers located and seized suspected fentanyl, crack cocaine, and crystal methamphetamine.

“Our Street Crime Unit is working tirelessly to combat the flow of illegal drugs into North Bay,” says Insp McFarlane. “Drug trafficking has a significant impact on public safety and quality of life. We remain fully committed to disrupting the drug trade, holding offenders accountable.”

Both accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
