The Bruman Community Dog Park at Champlain Park is back open.
On Friday, the City of North Bay announced a series of improvements are complete, and the park is ready for residents and their four-legged friends.
Officials say new features include a natural wooded trail section, shade tables, improved drainage, a new walkway connected to accessible parking, and added trees.
“We’re pleased to see these improvements complete and welcome residents back to enjoy the park,” says Mark Thomas, the City’s Manager of Parks. “The Bruman Community Dog Park has been a great community space for many years, and these upgrades will help make it even better for dogs, their owners and visitors.”
The city says it took over operation and maintenance of park in Nov. 2025, after 10 successful years of operation by the North Bay and District Humane Society through a lease agreement with the city.
