New traffic lights active at Lakeshore and Booth

A heads up for drivers on Lakeshore, the traffic signals at the intersection with Booth Road are now active.

The City of North Bay activated the lights just after 7:30 am Friday.

“If you’re travelling through the area, please watch for the new signals and use extra caution as everyone adjusts to the change,” states the city in a social media post.

The lights provide signalized access to the Omischl Sports Complex and WFCU Place, the city’s new community and recreation centre, which opens Aug. 21.
