Inmate art calendars supporting John Howard Society services

Artwork created by inmates at the North Bay Jail is supporting a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting effective, just, and humane responses to crime and its causes.

The John Howard Society says its 2027 inmate art calendars are now available.

Proceeds go to the services provided by the society’s volunteers, which focus on prevention, intervention, and reintegration.

The society says its work ranges from helping young people develop life skills they need to reach their full potential, to supporting families as they navigate the criminal justice system, to providing job training for individuals leaving incarceration so they can contribute meaningfully to their communities.

They say the calendars also offer an opportunity to recognize local inmate creativity and artistic expression.

They’re $20 each and available at Sun Life (1224 Algonquin Ave.) in North Bay, while supplies last.
