Vic Fedeli, the MPP for Nipissing is at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario conference this week. Fedeli is seriously considering a run for the Progressive Conservative leadership and he’s developing what he calls Big Ideas. Fedeli says his platform is about doing what’s right for the people and not whether you’re a Liberal or a Conservative. He’s been bouncing this theme off voters across Ontario and now he wants to talk to municipal politicians. He’s hosting a conference when daily events at AMO end and it’s where municipal politicians can talk about ideas. Fedeli isn’t ready to talk publicly about his Big Ideas but there are indications of what are major issues in his possible platform and one of them is jobs. Fedeli points out Ontario should be first when it comes to employment. Instead, for the 91st straight month we have the worst unemployment record in the country. Fedeli may announce his leadership intentions early next month.
