NUSU holding bottle drive for CF

At the start of a normal school year, you’d see Nipissing University students washing cars to raise money and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis.

But, with the ongoing pandemic that’s not the case this year.

Instead, they’re holding a community bottle drive at their new Student Centre at 221 College Drive.

Everyone in the community is invited to drop off their bottles and monetary donations on Saturday, September 4th.

“Although we can’t host car washes this year, our students are excited to engage with the community and raise money and awareness for cystic fibrosis”, said Sarah Pecoskie-Schweir, VP Advocacy & Awareness.

Student volunteers will be wearing masks and gloves to unload the bottles in the designated unloading areas.

NUSU says all drivers must remain in their vehicles at all times.

Donations can also be made online at nusu.com/shine
