Sturgeon Falls native joins ranks of NBPS

Newly sworn North Bay Police Constable Maxine Baronette says she is grateful for the opportunity to serve the communities of North Bay and Callander.

The North Bay Police Service held a ceremony this morning for Constable Baronette, its newest member.

Constable Baronette grew up in Sturgeon Falls. She attended the University of Windsor where she studied a General Arts Program while playing varsity hockey. She says her strong desire to help people saw her return to the North Bay area and complete a Police Foundation Diploma. She began her career in law enforcement as a correctional officer in New Brunswick. In January 2018, she was hired as a special constable by the North Bay Police Service prior to her hiring as a constable and graduation from the Ontario Police College in November 2018.
